Shared Journeys

The people in this photo are some of my closest college friends and are part of the Filipino Club in the University, to which I belong as well. When we are at school, we tend to gravitate towards each other, because we can understand and relate to each other. Everyone in the picture, not in the picture, and me, have a personal yet shared journey between all of us, a specific goal in mind-To discover our Filipino heritage and appreciate the life we’ve been given here in the US.

Being a part of the Filipino club in my University truly means to join a family. I mean we laugh together, fight together, disagree with each other, study together, etc. We are constantly part of each others lives, because at the end of the day, in the crazy little world called college, we need people who we can count on 100%. It’s so that we aren’t worried about being lead astray, moreso learning from each other, and making sure that no matter what happens, there is shoulder to lean on. This is us, this is the filipino club, and this is our family. You can’t ask for any better.
